Southridge Winter Series DH Mountain Bike Bike Race
With all the different kinds of bikes I own and all the racing that I have done over the years, one thing that I haven't raced or watched is a downhill mountain bike race. Luckily, I'm smart enough to know that I should watch not race. So, when I learned about the Southridge Winter Series DH MTB last weekend I was excited to head out and watch. Inspired by friends, Philip Beckman and Ti Peng, I thought it would be fun to try my hand at taking pics. As usual, it turned out to be much harder than I expected.
The racing was pretty insane. I can't believe the drops and rocks they roll over without even slowing down. There's no way in hell I would try to ride those trails. I almost killed myself just trying to hike up and down let alone ride. Taking pictures was a challenge with the rough terrain, fans and 40 mph winds. Overall, I'm happy with the results and plan to try again.
