Cross Crusade PIR
Before I moved to Portland one of the things I always heard about was the cyclocross scene. Everything I heard turned out to be true — and then some. The courses are interesting, tons of people race and the weather is, well, real CX weather. Not that I don't love racing in 100 degrees and dust, but I prefer a little cool weather and some rain.
The highlight of the season for me was the Cross Crusade at PIR. This was one of the most fun courses I've ever raced. Saturday was fun with a little bit of mud, but Sunday, with the rain and hail, was everything I had hoped for. While my racing may not be something to remember the images from Sunday definitely are.
