Wolfpack Hustle Civic Center Crit
"I want to go see a crit." Not something you would normally hear me say. Hanging out in an industrial park with a bunch of agro uptight dudes riding in circles, wearing lycra isn't normally the pinnacle of excitement. But this is different because it's a Wolfpack Hustle crit, not your run of the mill crit. Their events still have that underground feeling and bring out all types of riders which reminds me of why I started riding bikes.
The first Wolfpack Hustle race that I went to was the 6th Street Drag Race. A night race held on a bridge over the Los Angeles River in the heart of DTLA. What more could you ask for. The event was behind schedule, a bit chaotic but fun as hell.
Based on that experience there was no way I was going to miss the Wolfpack Hustle Civic Center Crit around the iconic Los Angeles City Hall building. Once again Wolfpack Hustle didn't disappoint. The afternoon started out with geared races for your standard industrial crit loving folks then transitioned into the main event, guys and girls on fixed geared bikes screaming around in the dark.
If you ever get a chance to go out to a Wolfpack Hustle event you should. Even if you aren't racing it's worth the trip.
